2019 world menstrual hygiene day celebration

Below are some videos:

28th May of every year is celebrated as 'World's menstrual hygiene day' The theme of this year's celebration is 'IT'S TIME FOR ACTION'
This year, Global Initiative For Proper Parenting ( A non profit making and nongovernmental Organization) was not left out. Our 'Morality rescue team was sent by the Onitsha Archdiocesan Education Commission to collaborate with the Onitsha Archdiocesan JDPC to visit our young girls in 4 different Archdiocesan secondary schools.
The JDPC team talked on menstrual health while our team (The morality rescue team) talked on Sex education with more emphasis on sexual abuse. We were able to empower our young girls psychologically. We told them the importance of shouting and report any attempted case of abuse. We made them to understand the importance of abstinence and the need to be focused in their studies.
On their part, the JDPC team taught the young girls the importance of menstrual hygiene and how to keep it.
The also taught them good use of sanitary pads and better ways of disposal.

Finally we had a counseling section with interested students. We were able to talk to them as friends and they were happy to open up to us.
We also shared a total of 400 sanitary pads to the young girls.
Special appreciation to my morality rescue team members, the Onitsha Catholic Archdiocesan JDPC especially the director Rev Fr. Edwin Udoye, The Onitsha Catholic Archdiocesan Education Commission especially the coordinator Rev Fr. Pascal Onwugbenu, the Managers of the four schools visited ( Queen of the Rosary College Onitsha, Regina Pacis Onitsha, Mater Amabilis Umuoji and Mercy girls Umuoji). We thank you for your hospitality. We also thank the teachers and students of the four schools. In a special way I appreciate my husband for his total support and encouragement.
Feed your eyes with these pictures.
Cheers
