Global Initiative for proper parenting is a humanitarian, non-profit making and non-governmental organisation established on September 2015 but was duly registered with the Nigerian Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) on 24th July 2018 as a corporate body with CAC no: CAC/IT/NO 115028
Before registration, the organisation has been carrying out various Parenting and health sensitisation programmes on air (via radio), schools, women's meetings, religious programmes, annual family fun fairs etc
The Director Mrs Chidimma Okoye (Mma Okoye) is an on air personality, an author and a motivational speaker. She is also a media person for the Anambra State Ministry of Health Awka. Apart from her Radio Parenting programme, she also anchors health programmes in which the Anambra State Ministry of Health brings in Medical persons to talk on one health issue or the other.
